“I’m honored to be included among so many successful and talented women, many of whom I had the opportunity to meet and learn from,” shared Kamela, “and I’m looking forward to bringing all my new insights back to Pride to continue our global DEI efforts.”
Over the last year, Kamela has played an instrumental role in expanding Pride’s DEI efforts globally by partnering with Pride’s APAC and EMEA regions to host global diversity trainings and seminars. Since joining Pride Global in 2021, Kamela has led the Decidedly Diverse initiative, through which she has implemented Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), created data and reporting systems to analyze our diversity metrics and published our data to establish accountability. She has also led initiatives that have not only increased our pipeline of diverse candidates and our spend with diverse suppliers but has also created programing to assist with their development. Furthermore, she launched the But First, People podcast and has been integral in creating and reinvigorating platforms like Pride in Education, the Pride Global Supplier Diversity Council, and the annual Trailblazing Women’s Summit, all which positions Pride as a leader in DE&I in the staffing industry.
Kamela is dedicated to creating and implementing DE&I strategies that attract top talent, drive engagement and create equitable and inclusive workplaces where all individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered to be their authentic selves.
